Back by popular demand! **This is a running monthly series requested by the LSBU community.**
Come and ask your personal finance questions in a safe, positive environment.
Mohammed Ali, Head of Entrepreneurship at LSBU, is a self-confessed normal bloke who likes to keep things simple and understandable. Money is a simple concept that, once you understand, you can make better decisions for yourself. So if you have questions, like
- How do I buy a house? How do mortgages work?
- How do I find the cheapest utility providers?
- What are credit cards?
- What is tax?
- What is interest and why should I care?
- How do I understand my payslip?
we'll try to provide some answers. This is an interactive "nearly middle-aged man answering financial questions that he wish he asked when he was a student" workshop.
This is not an academic lecture, nor is it an investment advice session. All are welcome as the topics are predominantly around personal day-to-day finance. These will, of course, also be useful to entrepreneurs.
In addition to this drop-by Q+A event, LSBU students, alumni, staff, and community members may come to the more structured Personal Financial Literacy workshop.
